Peacock — Description for Kits, Cards, or Posters
A peacock stands with a kind of effortless grandeur, as though he’s fully aware he’s the most dazzling creature in the garden. His body is a deep, velvety blue — rich and jewel‑toned — with a smooth, rounded chest that catches the light like polished satin. His neck curves in a gentle S‑shape, long and elegant, tapering up to a small, expressive face with a fine beak and bright, alert eyes.
Atop his head sits his signature crest: a delicate fan of slender feathers tipped with tiny blue‑green droplets, like a crown made of raindrops.
His tail — even when not fully fanned — is a sweeping cascade of greens, teals, and golds. Each feather carries the iconic “eye” marking: a soft oval of turquoise, ringed with gold, deep blue, and a hint of emerald. When imagined in full display, the tail becomes a shimmering halo behind him, each eye-spot like a tiny painted jewel.
His legs are pale and sturdy, giving him a slightly prancing, proud stance, as though he’s mid‑strut across a palace courtyard or your favourite garden path.
Overall, he feels regal but playful — a creature made of colour, confidence, and a touch of magic.Designs Copyrighted to GardenPath Stitchery

- Check the paint type – If you used fabric paint, it should be washable. If it's acrylic or another type, it may require extra care.
- Spot test – Dab a small, hidden area with water and mild soap to ensure the paint doesn’t bleed.
- Hand wash gently – Use cold water and a mild detergent. Avoid scrubbing directly on the painted areas.
- Rinse thoroughly – Make sure no soap residue remains.
- Air dry – Lay flat in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight to prevent fading.
