Jersey Calf Laying in the Long Grass 
A little Jersey calf is nestled deep in the long summer grass, almost disappearing into the soft green tangle. Only its sweet fawn face and the curve of its shoulder peek through the blades, giving the whole scene a quiet, hidden‑away feeling. The calf’s big, dewy eyes look up with that calm, trusting softness Jersey babies are known for, long lashes catching the light as a warm breeze stirs the grass around it.
Its coat is a velvety caramel brown, with creamy highlights along the muzzle and inside the ears. The fur sits slightly tousled where the grass has brushed against it, adding lovely texture for stitching or painting. One ear tilts outward in that relaxed, floppy way calves get when they’re completely at ease.
The long grass folds gently around its body — some blades bending over its back, others framing its face like a natural cradle. A few tiny wildflowers dot the scene: soft whites, pale yellows, maybe a hint of pink, giving the whole moment a dreamy, meadow‑nestled charm.
